Freelance Graphic Designer

Provide graphic design, production services, and print management to publishers, and self-publishing authors.

2012-2016

Design and Production Manager / Northern Illinois University Press

Manage the production of all printed materials, including books, catalogs, and advertisements.
Oversee and direct design and typesetting projects by junior designers and freelancers.
Design the production workflow and implement select technology to improve efficiency.
Determine project objectives in detail, prepare print and bind specifications and review RFQs.
Proof completed jobs before and after the printing process to ensure quality.
Supervise and train junior level designers and educate student interns.

2008-2012

Design and typeset books, e-books, seasonal catalogs, and promotional materials as directed.
